Strip scene still has a pulse
As the doom and gloom press driven machine goes into overdrive you might be forgiven for thinking that we were about to see rationing books and epic Soviet style shortages during 2009, but in the real world there is still plenty of spare money out there being spent every week. There are still people going out for a good night out, and still clubs opening and being re-invented as bigger and better clubs. In the last few weeks there are have been several new clubs announced, if you find any that are not listed below let me know and we can get them listed:
Little Black Book – Hartlepool
Diamonds and Pearls – Henley-on-Thames
Blush Table Dancing Venue – London –
Cream Tiger – Rugby
In addition, Spearmint Rhino will open their new Glasgow club in the next few weeks, making it the first one north of the border. Whether this will mean there are more venues to follow will remain to be seen. Hustler opened its first UK club and there may be more where that came from. There are still a huge number of clubs and there must all have a certain amount of custom to keep going, clubs will need to adapt or die in the same way as any other company, but it does seem that the demand and market is still there at least for the present time!
Dont know if theres the talent around that there used to be, ie a pretty dancer who would make you want to go back to a particular club, clubs all seem to be doing OK tho.

If Spearmint Rhino are still opening new clubs then there must be plenty of money around. The amount spent the last time I was in there was frightening! Smaller venues at least have more reasonable pricing.
