Professor of Lap Dancing
The University of Leeds want to pay £30,000+ per year to a Research Officer dealing with lap dancing and the ‘night time economy’ whatever that means! Public money is being used to send someone to lap dancing clubs, when the government is doing their best to close them all down! Or re-classify them or whatever they are telling themselves now.
Does this mean the government are so worried about the industry that they are taking more interest in it? Probably not, is this just another one of those stories where colleges and unversities get free column inches with stupid research and wacky courses?, yes. Either way we are paying for it, as they strangle in the industry. Just like the council monitoring of CCTV cameras in clubs (done behind closed doors) this is a way of jobs for the boys. You can picture the brain storming session which resulted in this beauty! Guaranteed to offend everyone in the industry and everyone else.
