UK Lap Dancing News and Information.

Lappy Christmas Everyone!

Well its here, sorry gone! What was all the fuss about? Anyway you get some statutory days off and its OK to let yourself go a bit! Time for a trip to your local club then.

Thankfully the choice out there is just as wide as ever before, depending on where you live there is still a choice of types venue and the total number is just the same (around 300 in the UK!). Make no doubt about it club numbers and the industry could change in the year to come with certain councils making big noises about getting a blanket ban, or making venues jump through extra hoops. So time will tell, but it looks like the industry in general is pretty fireproof even if smaller clubs (and even some big chains) go down. If the boom time of the mid 00′s is gone this is the time to show the doubters.

So happy Christmas and hopefully you will venture out to a club or two over New Year and keep the whole industry ticking over. UK Strip Clubs is the only office friendly/family PC friendly venue listings website in the UK! Its free to use!

Any venue can request for a comment to be altered or in extreme situations deleted, we do our very best to make sure there is nothing that is libelous or deliberately misleading and are happy to change any of them that cause offence or misrepresent clubs.

Just pop the UK Strip Clubs team an email with the details and we promise to get it changed asap.

As with the rest of the website we pledge to provide a meeting place for venues and punters which is fair and accurate, helping punters visit clubs and clubs to provided details of what they offer.

What Do Journalists Really Think About?

OK, its almost Christmas time for some fun. Just read this Guardian article about what lap dancers really think about when they are giving a lap dance. The usual type of article from them really, as you might expect. Funny though, stuff like this works both ways of course!

I’m sitting at my desk at the newspaper I work at. I’m about to write an article about being a lap dancer, but I’ve never been in a strip club before. I dont really have anything against strip clubs but I have to toe the line for the publication I work for. I want to look up some background about the industry but we had that memo about use of the web last week and I dont want to get a warning about inappropriate use of the web.

I’ve read all the stuff in the publication I work for about it but it doesnt tell me anything I didnt already know and is so narrow minded that I’m none the wiser about who works in the industry or the people who enjoy it on a regular basis. My name sounds a lot like Jeremy Clarkson and I dont want to isolate myself by looking foolish by not knowing.

OK, I’ve got another article to do about world music and (yes!) another about organic food I can work on those and slip out at lunch to Spearmint Rhino to do a little bit of background, and catch up later. Just as long as no-one finds out. I dont want people to think that I actually knew anything about something so obviously exploitative and probably illegal. I’ll slip out when everyone is doing their Yoga…

Honestly though, I hope the Guardian didnt pay much for that article or whoever wrote it was on day exchange from the local High School and got something from the whole journo experience.
