A movie based on the life and times of Paul Raymond is set to be directed by Michael Winterbottom and star comedian Steve Coogan. Its some story, Raymond was a pioneering face in the industry becoming the richest man in the UK worth billions in 1992, targeted twice by the IRA and ended his life in the Ritz Hotel in London in a mix between Howard Hughes and Hugh Hefner recluse. He dated some of the countries leading beautys and his club had over 45,000 members some of which were famous movie stars.
The production team will work for Film4 and have worked together before on films like 24 Hour Party People, A Cock and Bull Story and The Trip. Coogan will bring his amazing ability to mimic voices and mannerisms to this unique role. Raymond was a towering figure in the strip business breaking all the rules and fighting authority along the away changing the face of the industry. He is know as making the strip club an acceptable place for men to enjoy entertainment in an luxurious environment.
Paul Raymond died of cancer in 2008 passing the vast majority of his fortune onto his daughter, his story is a classic rags to riches tale. In his later life he was back in the news after applying to reduced the £108 to gave to a former wife for the upkeep of his son. He died with a fortune of over £650 million.
The film could be a good one, think The People vs. Larry Flynt with Woody Harrelson and (the human train wreck) Courtney Love. or Boogie Nights for that matter.

The biggest brand in adult entertainment Playboy have opened a Playboy hostess club in Park Lane London, the venue will ring back the old days of glamour and style. The previous club close its doors over 30 years ago. The new club will feature bars, casino, Bunnies and a cocktail bar.
