Talk about making their life easy! The Mirror is famous for its one side news stories but certain people are just not trying very hard any more.
This story has a little bit of everything Mirror readers like, a picture of a sex lady, a righteous rant and some one sided views not thought out very well. The long and short is that some company made a boxing and martial arts punchbag with a picture of a woman, you can see where this is going….and a range of boxing gloves etc with a pole dancer on it. While UK Strip Clubs understands the damage caused by domestic violence this story is still nonsense. Apart from a terrible joke about the item being KO-ed by a anti domestic violence charity, the Mirror seems to ignore the fact that the Gloves of the set also have a picture of women on it. So if you are training yourself for domestic violence by using the punchbag are you empowering women by using the gloves? The Mirror seemed to ignore that one. Also if you beat someone with the gloves does that mean you were beaten by a women?
The whole range is a little bit tacky, but worthy of a ranting article in one of our largest daily newspapers?
The fact that the picture is of a pole dancer must mean than anyone who enters a strip club is a wifebeater by 6 degrees of separation Mirror style. The industry is an easy target for this type of lazy mud slinging.
If the The Mirror story had an ounce of humour about it it might be understandable, perfect advertising for the product in question. Sales of the item in question will jump…
