Will The Industry Go Underground?

Another slur on the industry, and criticism of the new legislation, is that strip clubs and lap dancing clubs will be pushed underground but is there any truth to this? Are there loads of clubs unregulated, breaking the rules and not paying tax?

The answer is no. There is no evidence of a significant number of venues operating without a license, when a non-strip venue gets caught out doing something they should not be they are usually lumped into this bracket of seedy backs street bar, if you have ever been to a strip club you know it instantly the plush, the lights and the quality of girls-you pay for the quality. Are there loads of men, or women for that matter, who want to spend time in a dirty, dark backroom somewhere paying over the odds for soft drinks enforced by bouncers, paying for lap dances with sub standard girls?

With the rise in quality of dancers and clubs I just cant see the main body of punters resorting to dives like this because their local has closed, the fact is that there are hardly any fewer venues than before the new legislation and their quality is just as high, venues dont stay popular with substandard surroundings or performers.

In the whole time we have been running ukstripclubs.com I have only heard of a couple of clubs being prosecuted, the strip experience is meant to be fun and slightly luxurious one, this just seems like another way of the media second guesing the industry.

Dont Blame Us

A thought. After watching the news in recent times I noticed that there are protests outside all sorts of UK military installations (including nuclear ones!) not against war or danger but to their closure and the impact their closure they may have on the local economy. You can see where I am going with this…

Before the country was hire-purchased to the hilt these people would have been protesting against the war, danger to the whales or something now they are changing their tune when the money they gave is leaving, as with an air force base as with a private business ie strip and lap dancing clubs.

Yes you can protest against them but when they are shut down and the site is left unoccupied for years and the whole area is dragged down as the secondary monies are removed from the economy, will you be happy? If you read local press you of course get the triumph when a club shuts but they have to be more creative to avoid lamenting the loss of a consistent earner that gave locals jobs and a well regulated centre of entertainment. Local press sites are full of hard luck stories for venues that are empty, we all know the type of properties which become clubs in the most part, once pointless legislation closes them down they are often not suitable for becoming anything else.

All we hear is about clubs opening near churchs, schools etc but what about all the venues are are consigned to the waste bin of dusty decay due to to ill thought out government legislation and the restrictions placed on dancers and club owners? Make no doubt about it, for every audacious club opening somewhere in a blaze of glory there is a long standing club shutting its doors never to re-open and remain unoccupied for years since no pub would consider it and no other business could afford it!

The Push For 2011

With the new year underway the industry keeps on rolling along despite all the new doom and gloom about the economy and legislation inflicted upon it against reason and advice from all quarters. There are certainly more venues than ever before, clubs are opening up and punters (most important) are still visiting them. Money is still there to be made, dancers and club owners will not be immune to the recession but the industry has always been high end ie very profitable or very costly and remains so. A new club is a risk but the rewards can be much more than the average night club or pub, strip punters usually spend freely and as we are all aware £100 to £200 will be the average spend per head for just a few short hours work.

Venues can raise their profile in cyberspace by suitable advertising, but certain sites will not welcome clubs advertising on them and certain others do not promote your luxury club in the manner it deserves and gets it the type of clientelle you might get. ukstripclubs.com has no unsuitable advertising or links that might taint your venue-it is proud to be office friendly like a copy of Nuts or FHM! Get yourself a bigger cut of the local and national punter share with advertising with us! If you have not been doing so well it is likely that you have not been advertising in a suitable media, ask yourself: if you expect premium guests to spend £100 in just a few hours where should you push your club? A unique, office friendly market leading site that is updated weekly and used as a resource by luminaries like the BBC, the UK trade association for strippers and many more…or an unrelated, poorly rated on search engines, escort/porn linking site only used by people who will never spend the type of money you need to survive?

We are the only site with a full set of listings, we are the longest established and for just £40 per month (or less!) you could reach 1000+ unique users every day! Get in touch and advertising with us now! Help raise the industry from the poor opinion it has with the public by investing in a small way in the industry’s best free resource and everyone wins!
