UK Strip Clubs, the ‘number 1′ lap dancing and strip club site, reports massive increase in traffic after the Channel 4 Dispatches program was aired on Monday night, the sites visitors and pages views for UK Strip Clubs increased by a massive 110.46%.
And it’s still going strong, days after the program. So what happened? Well, the peepshow that passed as undercover journalism (have to say what a great job for a reporter, paid to go to lap dancing clubs, nice blag!) has alerted a whole new group of the public that lap dancing venues are no longer just available in big city’s but across the country from the seaside resorts to small village venues. Now the program was far from an advert for the industry, would you expect anything else? But the facts are in the graph above. The ‘number 1′ strip club and lap dancing site in the UK, doubled its normal steady flow of users in a few small hours on a Monday night!
This is good news for the smart clubs that have taken out enhanced listings so they are the top listed club with photos in there local area and our current site banner advertisers who support our free to use site. I notice there will be yet another strip/lap dancing TV documentary tonight on Channel 4 at 9pm. It might be worth a look, hopefully it will be a bit more balanced than the ads for it looked!
The programme is called: The Hidden World of Lap Dancing The blurb for the show went as follows:
“A hidden camera report on the rising number of clubs in the UK which offer one on one lapdances, asking whether the growing protest movement across the country can reverse the boom in erotic entertainment. The investigation comes at a time when the department for ‘culture, media and sport’ is consulting local councils about the operation of licensing laws. ”
I dont know about ‘growing protest movement’, whether 100 people justifies being a movement. The American Civil Rights movement had a Million Man March, these people could not even fill a church hall if you gave out free tea and biscuits.
Channel 4 have never been a network to avoid cashing in on any trend that was floating past ie property, weight problems and race so I ssume them have been reading the ‘Red Top’ tabloids who have enjoyed making the industry a scapegoat once again for any disorder or sex crime in the UK.
While I am not expecting a very balanced programme, hopefully they will not perpetuate the worst uninformed assumptions about the industry which employes thousands across the UK.
Channel 4 at 9pm….I am assuming that it will have plenty of cuts from dancers in darkened clubs to Old Biddies and religeous types and the odd social worker for balance.
