Hooters, the topless waitress place from the US is coming to the UK and Ireland in a big way!!!! If you have ever been in one of these places you will know what you are in for…good looking topless barmaids and drinks!
During this year bars will open in London, Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle and Bristol. With 6 openings planned for 2009 and a mighty 20 more clubs planned for the following 3 years!!!! Hooters is taking over in the UK.
I went to one in Amststerdam and was quite impressed with the laid back atmosphere and reasonable prices, these places are sure to take on over here, no doubt at all!!!
Just to add that the media are going to have a field day with this little lot! Hooters motto is ‘delightfully tacky and unrefined’! Which will suit me down to the ground….
Keep tabs on what is happening in the world of Hooters!

We have had another busy week in tracking down new venues, we have a grand total of 5 new clubs added this week. We are constantly looking for new strip clubs, strip pubs and other venues to add to our listings. We often get emails from clubs, dancers and punters who want their club to be listed, so if you know of a venue that is not listed on UK Strip Clubs then get in touch via our Contact Form on the main site. Here are some of their relavant details for our newest listings:

The Ruby Lounge – High Street – Manchester – Mancs latest clubs is open for business 6 days a week in Manchester city centre.

It cant have escaped that your attention that there are more clubs in the UK than ever before and it was only a matter of time before there was some sort of changes to Strip licensing legislation which put a limit on the number of new clubs. There are presently 345 clubs in England Scotland and Wales with more trying for licenses every week. The quality of clubs has not improved, and from what I have been reading on the UK Strip Clubs Forum workers in these clubs have seen a downturn in punters coming through the door.
The furore was initiated by the news that Brighton City Council have approved 6 additional fully nude clubs within the last 6 months and will see local councils have unprecedented powers to deny new clubs licenses and even close down established clubs. What effect this will have on the industry will remain to be seen, however with the overloading of clubs in cities such as Brighton, Newcastle, Birmingham and Leeds it will come as no surprise that changes will be made.
The form and letter of these changes will also remaining to be seen, will some councils be able to deny all clubs? Will only the big chains like FYEO, Spearmint and Secrets be able to muscle their way to new clubs? or will every council be able have 3/4 clubs with a one out/one in policy? The last one would be sensible, but more likely these changes to strip licensing legislation will be hi-jacked by anti strip campaigners who would like to close all clubs.
Since the opening of the first Spearmint Rhino club in the mid 1990s there has been a revolution in the ways strip clubs operate with a more mainstream attitude to what a strip club should be, but there will always be limit to the viable number of clubs. Overloading on numbers is not good for the dancers, clubs or even punters. We have all been there you go into a club expecting to be entertained and find some tired, disinterested strippers sitting in the corner!
More on these changes as they come, although it goes without saying that strip clubs make major money and the government will not want to slit their own throat by denying themselves millions in taxes by closing too many clubs!

I noticed a ‘report’ in the media this week about Strip Club Networking basically saying that it discriminates against women (not because they thought that ladies were less likely to go, and therefore miss out) but because females earned less money and so could not afford to spend time in strip clubs. Personally, I dont think that a payrise would see females spending all their hard earned cash in strip clubs just to impress their male co-workers, so thats a non-starter!
The next point the report made was that all strip clubs should be re-classified on a par with sex shops as ‘Sex Encounter Establishments’. Who would this help? The performers themselves? I hardly think that categorising strippers as ’sex workers’ will make their lives better. The article started on topic with the ‘Strip Club Networking’ theme and then has deteriorated into having a pop at strip clubs. The comparision between strip club dancers and prostitutes (which is what they are basically saying) is like comparing every barman in the UK with a drug dealer!
The Strip Club Networking report was made by the Fawcett Society, I wonder how many of these people have ever been in a strip club?
